Our Story

The Story of the Bridge

Established in 2012, the Bridge Leadership Academy was born from a deep passion to serve Kansas City's youth. After nearly 20 years of coaching college basketball, Wakisha Briggs noticed how many students made it to college without basic life skills, study skills, or a vision for their life. She felt that our community's youth needed preventative, holistic support for their educational journey.
