The Trailblazers Series
The Trailblazers series is designed to show students diverse career paths through hands-on learning and presentations from real professionals in Kansas City.
Objective
Students will feel inspired and motivated to pursue careers and interests that are modeled by the Trailblazers. Students will ask questions and learn from a real professional who walks them through the steps to success.
Purpose
The Bridge is committed to caring for students after they graduate high school. The Trailblazers program prepares them for their first job, potential careers, starting their own business, and exposes them to career paths they didn't know were possible.
The Trailblazers of Beauty Fair involved 6 different professionals from the beauty industry, including makeup artists, barbers, braiders and hairdressers, and nail technicians. Students were shown real-world examples of how these pros mastered their craft and kept their small business growing and thriving.
